2015 MPS 360 Forecast (Global)

Photizo’s 2015 MPS 360 Forecast shows that total worldwide MPS revenue has reach $21.1 billion in 2014. The worldwide MPS market grew at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.6% since 2011. Worldwide revenue growth is expected to slow to 7.8 percent (CAGR) through 2019, reaching an estimated $31.3 billion. By this time, MPS will equate to 27% of office printing revenues.

While overall pages produced continue to fall, total pages managed continued to climb. Photizo expects the total number of managed pages to equate to as much as 36 percent of office print volume worldwide by 2019—leading us to believe that players without a significant MPS strategy will be at a competitive disadvantage.

The enterprise business segment (1,000+ employees) continues to dominate MPS revenue contribution in all regions with nearly 51% of total revenues. However, small- and medium-sized businesses (50-999 employees) are on the march, and are expected to grow to nearly 54% of MPS revenues, globally by 2019.

North America continues to demonstrate growth, despite being the most mature MPS market. Photizo sees continued upside for the channel opportunity in this market. Meanwhile, Europe continues to show promising growth, although channel providers remain focused on basic, fleet management services. The Asia Pacific and Latin American regions posted noteworthy gains, and are set to experience continued growth as MPS providers deepen and refine their focus in these regions.

This year, Xerox (including Fuji-Xerox) ranked first in worldwide share 27%, while Ricoh came in second at 19%. Hewlett-Packard, Canon, and Lexmark followed these leaders in third, fourth, and fifth place share positions, respectively.
