Konica Minolta Reports Revenue Flat, Operating Profit Down in Q3 FY2015

Konica Minolta, Inc. (KMI) took a different approach and reported the nine months ended December 31, 2015 for its review of business performance. Using that report, the consolidated revenue was 762.2 billion yen an increase of 4.7 percent YTY. However, operating profit for KMI was 41.5 billion yen which declined by 11.7 percent. Once again, currency played havoc with its results as the impact of the weaker yen against the dollar helped revenue, but the appreciation of the yen against the Euro hurt operating profit.
