Forget whatever they told you about the paperless office. Not going to happen any time soon. And in a country like India where bureaucracy insists on “ink-signed” documents and bills in original, the all-digital office is a distant dream. Less paper? Maybe. Paperless? Naa!
How is India’s A4 printer market shaping up?
The overall printing business in India is certainly shaping up positively. Yes, the pattern of printing is evolving and changing, but the need of printing still continues to exist and will continue to for the upcoming years.
A research paper from a team of academics reports on serious flaws in a number of printers that could allow remote attackers to gain access and siphon out documents, according to a report on ZDNet.
Lifehacker reported that the G4600 “is the first continuous ink printer to be introduced to Canon’s Pixma range”, and that refillable ink tanks have become popular as “consumers are fed up with overpriced […] cartridges” which can outprice the printer. The ink tank can produce up to 7,000 colour pages and 6,000 monochrome, comes with four ink bottles of cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks, and is said to be suitable for home or office use.
